Terms of service

These terms apply when you use tradapt.com (“Tradapt”, “we”, “us”), operated by Joseph Hall, a sole trader trading as Tradapt, in the United Kingdom. Contact: tradapt.support@gmail.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you buy Tradapt Pro, they form the contract for that subscription too.

1. The tools are guides, not advice

Our calculators and day-rate benchmarks are indicative tools built from public cost guides. They are not quotes, not financial advice, and not a guarantee of what you can or should charge. Pricing decisions — and the consequences of them — are yours. Always check figures that matter (especially tax and VAT) with your accountant.

2. Your quotes are your quotes

The quote builder produces documents on your device, in your name. You are solely responsible for their accuracy and legality — prices, VAT treatment, business details, and the terms you offer your clients. We are not a party to any contract between you and your clients. Quote data is stored in your browser only (see the privacy policy); back up anything important, because clearing your browser clears it.

3. Tradapt Pro

• Pro costs £6.99/month or £59/year, billed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
• Cancel anytime via the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for, and you keep Pro until then.
• 14-day money-back guarantee:if Pro isn't for you, email tradapt.support@gmail.comwithin 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. This sits alongside, and doesn't reduce, your statutory rights as a consumer.
• Pro activation uses a signed cookie in your browser. Cleared your cookies or switched device? Re-activate via the link in your Stripe receipt, or email us.
• We may change Pro pricing or features with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next renewal, and you can cancel before they take effect.

4. Fair use

• The embed widget is free for any website, provided the “Powered by Tradapt” badge stays visible (Pro subscribers may remove it).
• Don't scrape the site at scale, misrepresent our benchmarks as your own dataset, resell access to the tools, or use the site for anything unlawful.

5. Ownership

The site, its design, code and benchmark compilations are ours. The content of the quotes you create is yours.

6. Liability

The free tools are provided as-is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for business losses (lost profit, lost contracts, lost revenue) arising from reliance on the tools or benchmarks; our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site up and the free tools free, but we may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue Pro, active subscribers get a pro-rata refund of any unused period.

8. General

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes belong to the courts of England and Wales (consumers keep any right to bring proceedings where they live). If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material changes will be flagged on the site.
