What AI Chat Can Do

The AI chat (Essential and Pro plans) has full access to your trade history and journal data. It can answer questions about your specific performance — not generic trading advice.

Types of Questions That Work Well

Performance questions:

  • "What has my win rate been on my VWAP Reclaim setup in the last 30 days?"
  • "How do I perform on Mondays vs. Fridays?"
  • "What's my average R-multiple when my emotional state was 4 or 5?"

Pattern questions:

  • "Have I been revenge trading this month?"
  • "Am I overtrading on Thursdays?"
  • "Which of my setups has improved the most in the last quarter?"

Diagnostic questions:

  • "Why has my profit factor dropped this month compared to last month?"
  • "What were my best and worst trades last week, and what do they have in common?"
  • "Am I taking my highest-expectancy setup often enough?"

Types of Questions That Don't Work Well

AI Chat analyzes your personal trading data — it doesn't provide:

  • Market predictions ("Will EUR/USD go up today?")
  • Generic trading strategies not based on your data
  • Financial advice or investment recommendations
  • Analysis of external accounts not connected to Tradapt

Interpreting Responses

AI responses include the data source: which trades were analyzed and over what period. If an answer seems unexpected, check:

  • Is the time period correct?
  • Is the setup name exactly as you named it in your playbook?
  • Is the trade count sufficient for meaningful analysis?

You can ask follow-up questions to drill down: "Show me the specific trades with emotional state 5 that were losses."

AI usage limits

Coach chat and other AI features count against two rolling limits shown in the app sidebar: a 4-hour window and a 7-day window.

  • Free: 8 messages per 4 hours · up to 25 per week
  • Essential: 50 per 4 hours · up to 300 per week
  • Pro: 200 per 4 hours · up to 2,000 per week

Longer answers still count as one message unless the product explicitly says otherwise.
