Understanding AI usage limits

How Tradapt counts AI messages (session and weekly windows), what counts toward your plan, and how to make the most of a smaller allowance.

How AI limits work

Tradapt tracks AI usage with two rolling windows (not a simple monthly bucket):

  1. 4-hour session window — how many AI calls you can make in a rolling four-hour period
  2. 7-day window — total AI calls over the last seven days

Your remaining allowance appears in the app sidebar (and on billing-related screens).

Typical limits by plan:

  • Free: 8 per 4 hours · 25 per week
  • Essential: 50 per 4 hours · 300 per week
  • Pro: 200 per 4 hours · 2,000 per week

What usually counts as one use

Each Coach message, contextual “analyze this page” action, and similar AI calls generally consumes one unit from both windows. Viewing text you already generated does not use additional quota.

What does not use AI quota

  • Browsing analytics, dashboards, and reports you already have
  • The Tradapt Score (computed from your trades)
  • Reading saved AI output

Tips if you are on a smaller plan

  • Skim your weekly digest before opening Coach for the same topic again
  • Ask one broader question instead of many tiny follow-ups when you can
  • Use built-in charts and tables first; escalate to AI when you need narrative or comparisons

After you upgrade

When you move to a higher plan, usage counters typically reset so you are not stuck with an empty allowance mid-cycle—exact behavior is shown in-app after checkout.
