Lesson 12 of 12·5 min·Beginner

Building Your Stats Dashboard in Tradapt

Understanding Your Trading Statistics

Pulling It All Together

You've now learned the meaning behind every major trading metric. This final lesson is about putting them together into a dashboard you actually use — one that gives you a clear, actionable picture of your trading in minutes.

The Six Numbers to Check Every Day

1. Win Rate — Is it consistent with your historical average, or has something shifted?

2. Profit Factor — Is it above 1.5? If it's dropping toward 1.0, that's an early warning sign.

3. Average R — Is your average trade positive? Is it consistent week-over-week?

4. Win/Loss Ratio — Are your winners bigger than your losers? Is this ratio stable?

5. Trade Count — Are you trading within your optimal frequency range?

6. Current Drawdown — Are you in a drawdown? How deep? How long?

These six numbers give you a complete picture. You can review them in under two minutes from your Tradapt dashboard.

Monthly Benchmarking

Once a month, export or record your stats for the month:

  • Total trades
  • Win rate
  • Profit factor
  • Average R
  • Maximum drawdown for the month
  • Best and worst performing setup

Compare to the previous month. Is each number trending in the right direction? If not, what changed?

Setting Personal Benchmarks

Every trader's edge looks different. Rather than comparing yourself to others, set benchmarks based on your own history:

  • "My target is profit factor > 1.6"
  • "I want to keep my monthly drawdown under 5%"
  • "I'll target average R of +0.5 or better"

When you fall below a benchmark, that's your signal to investigate — not panic.

Congratulations

You've completed the Trading Statistics course. You now understand every major metric on your Tradapt dashboard and, more importantly, you know what to do when those numbers move.

The next step is the Trading Playbook course — where you'll learn how to document your setups formally so that your statistics start telling a richer story about your specific trading style.
