Risk-Reward Calculator

Enter your entry price, stop loss, and target to instantly calculate your risk-reward ratio and the win rate needed to be profitable at that R:R.

Calculate risk-reward ratio

What is risk-reward ratio?

Risk-reward ratio compares the potential profit of a trade to its potential loss. A 1:2 risk-reward means you risk $1 to potentially make $2. Setting minimum risk-reward thresholds before entering trades is one of the most powerful ways to improve trading performance.

Why risk-reward ratio matters

At 1:2 R:R, you only need a 33% win rate to break even. This means even traders who are wrong more than half the time can be profitable — if their winners are consistently twice the size of their losers. Most professional traders target a minimum of 1:2 R:R.
