Connect Bybit to Tradapt

Bybit is a leading crypto derivatives exchange, popular for its USDT-margined perpetual contracts and options. Broker API auto-sync is coming soon on Essential and Pro. When live, Tradapt will use a read-only API key to import linear, spot, and options fills. Use CSV import today.

Broker API auto-sync is not live yet. It is coming soon on Essential and Pro (same rollout as pricing). Use CSV import for Bybit trades today. The steps below are for when sync is enabled.

Create a read-only API key on Bybit

Log in to Bybit at bybit.com

Click your profile icon in the top right, then go to Account & Security

Select API Management from the left menu

Click Create New Key

Choose API Transaction (not system-generated) and enter a name (e.g. 'Tradapt')

Under permissions, enable Read-Only. Do NOT enable trading or withdrawal permissions

Complete 2FA verification if prompted

Copy both the API Key and the API Secret — the secret is only displayed once

Open Bybit API settings

Tradapt only uses read-only API permissions. Your key cannot place orders, withdraw, or change your Bybit account. Credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and never exposed to third parties.

Connect in Tradapt

Log in to your Tradapt account

Go to Settings in the left sidebar, then click the Integrations tab

Find Bybit in the exchange list and click Connect

Paste your API Key and API Secret into the form

Optionally select which Tradapt account to link the imported trades to

Click Connect — when API sync is live, Tradapt validates your key and syncs your execution history (use CSV import today)

Frequently asked questions

Which Bybit trade types does Tradapt import?

When API sync is live, Tradapt will import linear perpetual executions, spot fills, and options trades. Inverse contracts are not planned initially. Use CSV import until then.

Does Tradapt import my Bybit funding fees?

Not currently. Only trade executions (fills) are imported. Funding fee history is on the roadmap.

What plan do I need for Bybit API sync?

Bybit API auto-sync is planned for Essential and Pro (coming soon). Every plan can import via CSV today.

Is my Bybit API key stored securely?

Yes. Your API credentials are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being stored. Tradapt only ever requests read-only permissions so no trading or withdrawal is possible.
